The Nigerian prolific
storyteller, poet, dramatist, playwright and folk singer Olujinmi Adesoye
Solanke popular known as Jimi Solanke once again faired his proficiency in
storytelling in the house of the Next Movie Star 2012. It isn’t just about the
story he tells but the uncompromising engagement his listeners engulf themselves
while listening to his stories.
He visited the Next Movie
Star Housemates while they were in the show as guest celebrity to give them a
take-home counsel about the industry and the profession. He further gave them
an eye opener on how to survive and horn their passion for success despite the
challenges they may face. He also taught them some stage drama performance and
guided them on taking themselves into the play.
The most interesting part was when he sat them down in
the night under an orchestrated tree shade for the tales by moonlight to tell
them his folk story of the wicked woman who lost her children to food poisoning
out of jealousy. He climaxed the story with the usual folk-song and that what
exactly what is it for the night.
